Apple has gone "corporate"

Of course, they were always a corporation. But lately they've seemed to lose sight of the consumer and act more like the companies they usually mock.

I find this video to be appropriately ironic. What do you think?

  1. The "Think Different" campaign is about ten years old now. It hasn't been on apple's website for a while. And I don't think it's been a company mantra for about five years.

Apple is thinking different (at the moment) by keeping the iphone closed. Defying complaining hackers and accepting negative press.

My favorite design quote is the one that says a design is complete when nothing more can be taken away. Couldn't this be the design principle for the iphone?

I think apple's mantra for the Mac is still think different, but that for it's consumer products the unspoken mantra is less is more.

John Gruber has written the most balanced thoughts I've seen.
